2008 Virginia AA Move Up Rule Ages 10U -18U

In and effort to create a more competitive AA Division in Virginia the following will be in effect for the 2008 season. Results from 2007 will be used to move teams in the fall.

Any Virginia USSSA Baseball Team winning 2 Sanctioned events will be moved to AAA. Any Team winning a State Tournament or Super NIT will also be moved up.

The AA program should be an entry level program for teams starting out. These teams should feel they can compete. Classification of teams is something done to create an environment that all teams can compete. We should never send a message to our kids they are not good enough to compete and always raise the bar on our level of play.

2008 Virginia AA Sate Tournaments

2008 Virginia AA State Tournaments will be split Western State Tournament & Eastern State Tournament. This will allow more team to play at reduced cost and less travel. Both events will be held Memorial Day Weekend locations announced at a later date.

Elite 8 State Tournaments will be held for the following ages in 2008

10u, 11u, 12u, 13u, & 14u Elite 8 qualifying events will be expanded to cover 10U
